According to converging reports, the overnight attack brought the total number of Palestinians killed since September 7 to 5,791, including 2,360 children.

These grim reports of the alarming situation come amid a dire humanitarian crisis in the besieged Palestinian enclave, as hospitals' electricity generators are running out of fuel.

On Tuesday, the Palestinian Ministry of Health said electric generators in hospitals in Gaza will stop functioning in the next 48 hours due to fuel shortage.

The ministry also alerted the international community that the healthcare system in Palestine has reached its 'worst stage in its history' in the past week due to Israel's relentless and merciless bombing campaign.
