Morocco Plans to Establish Dedicated Artificial Intelligence System.

Morocco's Minister Delegate for Digital Transition and Administrative Reform Ghita Mezzour revealed that the country plans to establish a dedicated system for artificial intelligence (AI), with the goal of driving innovation and promoting growth.

Mezzour made the statement today during the national conference on 'The Use and Development of Responsible Artificial Intelligence in Morocco,' which was organized in collaboration with the United Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO).

During the event, Mezzour highlighted the need for a specialized AI system to generate new services, employment opportunities, and skill development.

In addition, she lauded Morocco's efforts in embracing AI ethics and adhering to UNESCO's recommendations on the subject.

The minister said that the country has taken significant strides to harness the potential of AI, evident in the establishment of research and development centers dedicated to it in several cities, including Oujda, Rabat, Fes, and Benguerir.
